Priscilla
Burch is the President and founder of Sign Language Services International,
Inc., Baton Rouge's oldest and largest Interpreter Service Provider.
She holds a Level IV Sign Language Interpreting certificate from
both the NAD and the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf.
Priscilla
has been involved in the profession for over thirty years, working
at Gallaudet University, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock,
Delgado Community College, and Tulane University. She was responsible
for setting up the Arkansas Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
interpreting service and the Deaf Action Center of Baton Rouge before
opening up her own private practice.
Expertise
includes organizing and providing interpreting services in legal,
medical, rehabilitation, mental health, and occupational, and coordinating
convention/conference interpreting services.
